NOTES 43
Cot. CXXVII.—These and many other (rather far-
fetched and irrelevant) attributions of various
things are to be found in Burton’s Arabian Nights,
in the Tale of Abn al-Husn and his Slave-Girl
Tawaddud.
Cot. CXXXIII.—The symbolic forms and Divination
meanings of these cards can be readily constructed
from considerations of their natures as here
indicated.
Line §6.—This is the First Decan, and begins from
Cor Leonis.
Cor. CXXXVIII.—Astrological symbols are derived
from the primary forms—Cross, Crescent, Circle.
Cor. CLXXITI.—For meaning and special functions
see origina]. They should, but do not, accurately
refer to the divisions of each sign into 7 planetary
parts.
